The Sheikh Zayed Foundation Introduces a New Corneal Support Program
The Sheikh Zayed Foundation, with the support of the Ministry of Health, is proud to support the people of Morocco by helping expand access to corneal transplantation. Eligible participating members may request corneal tissue for their patients, with funding for the corneal tissue provided by the Sheikh Zayed Foundation.
Select Sheikh Zayed Foundation members can request tissue through Vision Share.
Please use your assigned user name and password to request corneal tissue through Vision Share’s easy access portal.
Center of Excellence
The program is designed to support participating Moroccan CHU’s by improving access to high-quality corneal tissue while also expanding opportunities for advanced surgical education and training. In addition to providing corneal tissue for transplantation, Vision Share will support surgeon training initiatives focused on corneal transplantation techniques, including Penetrating Keratoplasty (PKP), DMEK, DSEK, and KeraNatural procedures.

Strengthening Local Surgical Expertise
The educational component of the program will help strengthen local surgical capacity through hands-on training, clinical collaboration, and knowledge sharing with participating surgeons and institutions. The goal is to help establish sustainable access to both tissue and specialized surgical expertise while supporting the Foundation’s vision of creating a Center of Excellence in Morocco.
